PROFESSIONALIZATION IN THE MANAGEMENT OF TOURISM COMPANIES IN PUEBLA, MEXICO

ABSTRACT
Higher education institutions in Puebla actively contribute to the professionalization of tourism business management in Puebla, Mexico, which involves the continuous improvement of staff skills and knowledge to optimize the tourism sector. This includes training in key areas such as hotel management, event planning, tourism marketing, and sustainable development. Universities such as BUAP, UDLA, UMAD, UVP, and others offer undergraduate and graduate programs focused on tourism and tourism business, preparing professionals to successfully lead and manage tourism companies.
Professionalization in tourism business management in Puebla has become a strategic factor for the sector's economic strengthening. Faced with an increasingly competitive and demanding tourism market, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) require specialized knowledge in administration, customer service, digital marketing, and legal regulations. Through training programs, diplomas, government-sponsored training, and partnerships with academic institutions, service quality and the formalization of Puebla's tourism sector are being promoted.
This communication refers to how BUAP supports the training of tourism professionals in the management of tourism companies in Puebla to consolidate and strengthen them as a strategic factor for the economic strengthening of the sector through the training of human resources.
